Red Carpet News: Perry in New Comedy
EW.com announced that ABC has picked up a few new comedies for fall. "Mr. Sunshine" is one of the network's newly acquired sitcoms, which is about a man who owns a sports arena. Matthew Perry will star.

Red Carpet News: Kate for Almay
Kate Hudson is the new face of Almay. The actress signed a multi-year deal with Revlon, Almay's parent company, to serve as the line's Global Brand Ambassador. "Almay is known for its fresh, effortless approach to beauty," Kate said in an official press release. "At the end of the day we all want to have fun and feel beautiful -- that's what Almay is all about." In addition to appearing in print, online and TV ads, Kate will also represent the brand's ongoing philanthropic efforts. According to People.com, starting on May 13th, Kate will take part in the Almay Rainforest Concert in New York City. The concert benefits The Rainforest Foundation, founded by Sting and Trudie Styler, to support and protect the world's rainforests.
Red Carpet News: Emmy Race is On
Daytime Emmys nominations were announced and Ellen, Rachael Ray, and Kelly and Regis are all up for their shows. Ellen was not nominated for best talk show host, however, only because she pulled her name from the running, having already won that award four times. The Daytime Emmys will air on CBS on June 27th. Red Carpet News: Real Steel
Evangeline Lilly of "Lost" and Anthony Mackie of "The Hurt Locker" have joined the cast of "Real Steel," a science fiction film about robot boxers. Hugh Jackman stars as a former boxer who trains a robot for a boxing championship. Directed by Shawn Levy, the movie is scheduled to be released November of next year.

Red Carpet News: Jessica and Forbidden Love
Jessica Biel is set to play Anna Tessieri Giro, the muse to composer Antonio Vivaldi. Luke Evans will star as "Vivaldi" who was supposedly inspired by Giro to write "The Four Seasons." Patricia Riggen will direct the story of forbidden romance.
